Samsung Max App to feature Data Saving and Privacy Protection for Galaxy Devices

Samsung launched Android app named ‘Samsung Max’ on February 23, 2018, for mobile data savings and privacy management

Samsung Max app is designed R&D Institute of by Samsung India. It is available on Google Play and Galaxy App store for specific Galaxy devices. The app will be re-installed on all Galaxy A and Galaxy J series handsets. It will be avaible in India, Argentina, Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria, South Africa, Thailand, and Vietnam. This app is an updated version of Opera Max app.

Samsung Max offers data compression to reduce data uses from installed apps. The app can also block background data and data access for any app by compressing webpages, photos, videos, and media within apps and browser. It allows user to manage data permissions for specific apps by customizing data consumption for existing apps. Furthermore, it also reports which apps are consuming most of the data. It also has boost Wi-Fi feature, which strengthens the connectivity of network in a crowded Wi-Fi hotspot or weak signal area.

The company also claims it uses bank-grade, secure network experience. It also features tracker blocking and DNS masking to offer a secured Web browsing experience. It also allows users option of viewing ads inside the app or on lock screen. “At Samsung, we’ve been committed to creating inclusive data saving and privacy protection services for all our devices. Because of this, we are now introducing Samsung Max to our mid-range devices as an exclusive and unique service that sets Samsung devices apart from the rest of the smartphone market,” said Seounghoon Oh, Vice President Samsung R&D Institute India.
