Nakefit, developed by an Italy-based creator, is used as a protective layer on the soles of the feet, as the prototype was unveiled in July 2017.

Nakefit is essentially a pair of hypoallergenic elastic adhesive pads that are meant to stick onto the soles of the feet, providing protection for people who wish not to wear shoes or forgot their flip-flops.

These foot pads will protect the foot from hot or rough surfaces such as sand and rocks. They offer heightened grip. The material used to manufacture these pads do not cause harm to people, animals or the environment. These are also waterproof and can be carelessly worn while taking a dip in the pool or going for a stroll on the beach. What is not clear, is whether this product is meant to be a one-time use or if its stickiness stays on for multiple uses.

This foot pad has the potential to be extensively used by sports persons, who spend ample of time in the water, including surfers or other water-sport enthusiasts.

This is not the first time that unique footwear have been developed, several others such as shoes cut in half, chainmail shoes, and sock-shoes have previously gained traction.
